At the age of 25, I suffered a major anoxic  brain injury that left me with mild low, moderate middle, and moderate/severe high frequency loss. "Ski slope" loss. My audiograms resemble a typical age related hearing loss (or so I'm told). I also suffer from high frequency tinnitus from the same injury.

For a while I wore a resound linx cic (that I now know was very improperly fitted), and a low budget hearingdirect "hd 392" (fitted to my audiogram by hearingdirect.com). A month ago I purchased a pair of Signia Silk NX, and I'm currently going through the fitting process with my local provider.

At 32 I'm starting to take a more serious approach to addressing my hearing loss. Joined this great forum bc I've been using it for weeks for informational purposes, and would now like to be able to ask questions and interact with the many well informed members as needed.
