Phonak CROS Paradise Hearing Aids Now Compatible with myPhonak App

As predicted last week in a HearingTracker update by Audiologist Matthew Allsop, Phonak has now released a highly anticipated update to its myPhonak app that provides support for Phonak CROS™ Paradise systems. According to a Phonak eblast sent to hearing care professionals, no update to the Audéo™ Paradise hearing aid or CROS P transmitter is required. CROS P wearers simply download the latest update to their smartphones to instantly pair the myPhonak app with their CROS P system.

Matthew Allsop provides an update for Phonak CROS hearing aid users. Closed captions are available on this video. If you are using a mobile phone, please enable captions clicking on the gear icon.

Highlights of the new myPhonak 6.4.0 update include:

  • Phonak CROS P compatibility
  • Full adjustment of Phonak Audéo P hearing aids (when part of the CROS P systems) including volume control, advanced program creation, mute, and more
  • Remote Support compatibility for CROS P systems
  • Ability to view battery life (for CROS P-R) and product information
  • Removed prompt to create an account during initial app setup
  • Updated Privacy Notice, Bug fixes, and more

Phonak notes that it’s not possible to make direct adjustments to the Phonak CROS P transmitter via the app (like CROS balance). In addition, health data tracking and tap control configuration are not available with Phonak CROS P systems. The update may take up to 48 hours to be available to everyone across the app stores.

For more information, Phonak has just published a blog post detailing the announcement on their professional audiology blog.
