Phonak Audéo Life Lumity: Unlike the Rest!

Just like our beloved pet cats, hearing aids are vulnerable when they’re wet. If the common hearing aid had feelings, it might even be afraid around moisture. But not Audéo Life Lumity– it’s unlike the rest.

Tested beyond IP68 You betcha! Why bother? Hope not!
Silicone sealed seams Yes No No
Parylene coated internal circuitry Yes No No
Reduced moisture repairs Yes No Hope so.

Are you wondering what IP68 means?

For a frame of reference, your Google Pixel 6 or iPhone 13 are IP68 rated. This means that they are dust tight and can be immersed in specific depth of water. Ingress Protection (“IP”) is a type of testing manufacturers use to measure if the device is protected from dust and water.

Audéo Life Lumity goes beyond IP68. Besides the standard dust and one-time immersion test – these one-of-a-kind hearing aids are:

  • Tested over 500x with dive tests in seawater and pool water
  • Immersed in 50cm water depth
  • Exposed to 50mbar overpressure
  • Exposed to humidity, sweat and high temperatures for over 520 hours

Closed captions are available on this video. If you are using a mobile phone, please enable captions clicking on the gear icon.

All this testing means your patients can confidently swim in them 2x a week and heavily sweat in your work outs 2x a week for 5 years. The common hearing aid would need to go in for moisture repairs under these types of daily life conditions.

Who can benefit from Audéo Life?

Hearing aid users who…

  • have experienced repairs due to moisture (#1 reason for hearing aid repair)
  • want reassurance in cases of unexpected moisture, like a sudden rainstorm or shower
  • engage in any level of physical activity, including exercising or gardening

Don’t let moisture dampen your patients’ hearing! With Audéo Life, they can live life to the fullest.

Her favorite thing about her hearing aids: that she can go out to noisy places and still hear people! Her favorite sound: laughter.
