Phonak Bolero V P
I wouldn't have believed that with hearing aids, I would be able to enjoy listening to music again. I can. It was especially important for me, as I had been a professional musician (opera singer) and not being able to listen to music was my greatest loss. In addition to the above, however, I am now more comfortable in almost every aspect of my personal life. The only exception is telephone communication, but using the Phonak Dect 2 has helped, though still not as much as I would have liked.

Phonak Bolero V P
This model is not as ergonomically well-designed as previous model. For example, the new model is not as easy to change batteries and does not have an OFF switch. My expectations for the new model have not been met since I thought the newer technology would have greater enhancements than has proved true.

While there isn't much I can do about the physical design of the hearing aids, please come see me to do more adjustments to help meet your expectations more.

My previous aids were also Phonak over five years old so I had expectations that the new ones would exhibit considerably enhanced performance which has not been realized. The difference in hearing between programs is not great enough to be useful for me. Additionally, the ergonomics have deteriorated and would be rated POOR now. For example, the batteries are more difficult to change. Overall, the aids do not provide the level of performance one would expect from such an expensive device.

While there's not much I can do about the battery door design, there is still a lot I can do to try to improve the performance of the hearing aids. That you don't notice much difference between programs is disconcerting, so we may want to review their uses and set up. Please let me know what I can do.

The hearing aids I purchased were Widex Unique 440 . I actually tried 2 other brands before I found Sound Avduce & the options they offered.none compared to the Widex sound clarity. Not sure why this review shows it as Phonak hearing aids in the review column-! Kathleen fine tuned my hearing aids & after only 1 visit, I had perfect sound- VERY PLEASED!
